100 Days of Gratitude: Day 30

I am 30 days into my #100DaysofGratitude challenge, which means I’ve been doing it for a month now. Some days I have found really hard…by the evening I’ve been so burnt out that I just couldn’t remember much of the good bits. Note to self: start posting during daylight hours!

dsc_4012Today’s gratitude goes to my son. As I’ve mentioned before, I’m not a morning person. It takes me a while to function in the morning, whereas he is always full steam ahead. This morning, however, he contented himself with picking out a book and coming over to sit on my lap so I could read it to him. His selection? Peepo! By Janet and Allan Ahlberg. One of my favourites!

My Gratitude So Far

What have I been grateful for since I started the challenge? So many things, a lot of which didn’t get a mention. Here’s a selection:

  • Time spent with my son
  • Time alone!!
  • Coming home from a late shift at work to find dinner being kept warm in the oven
  • Date night
  • Toddler T’s Thanksgiving Service, and everyone who showed up for it
  • The strong bond between my partner and our son
  • A clean house!
  • Friends
  • Memories

    1. Thank you 🙂 Hard at times – I find I leave it too late in the day and then all I want to do is sleep! It’s refreshing though, and feels good to get back in the saddle so to speak 🙂
